New Purpose and Strategy Statement Presentation

The Executive Committee of Pittsburgh Presbytery recently approved a new purpose and strategy statement for the Presbytery. While similar in some ways to previous statements, they also present a significant shift in the way in which the role of the Presbytery is understood. Information about the statements will be shared at the Presbytery meeting, but for those who are interested in a more in-depth look into the process by which these statements were developed and some thoughts on these statements will shape the future of the Presbytery, Brian is offering a Zoom gathering next Tuesday, September 26, at 4:00 pm. Please RSVP here.

Better Than Average Training

The Next Generation Ministry Team is excited to announce that Better Than Average Training is returning this fall! Better Than Average Training is designed for church staff and volunteers who work with the next generation, from preschoolers up through young adults, and features keynote sessions, workshops, and breakouts addressing various topics. This year’s training will be on November 2nd @ Beulah Presbyterian Church from 4-8:30 pm (with an pre-conference session starting at 2:30pm). More information can be found here.

Church Safety Training: Register Now!

An exciting opportunity is coming in October! Presbyterian Disaster Assistance will be coming to Pittsburgh on October 28 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, to lead a course on Church Safety and Security Training. The course is designed for people who are on the front lines of greeting people and interacting with the public, including ushers, greeters, outreach workers, custodians, and pastors.
