Free Training for Pastors and Church Leaders

Vanessa Bates, CRE, is offering free Training in Church Administration to all pastors and other church leaders as part of her D. Min project. The four-session training will be held via Zoom from 1-3 p.m. (Eastern) on Thursdays beginning July 27 and concluding on Sept 7. Participants can register for one or all of the modules on this site.

The New Wilmington Mission Conference will take place at Westminster College from July 21-26. A list of their speakers can be found here, and the 2023 schedule is here. The New Wilmington Mission Conference is dedicated to helping everyone find and follow their call to the Great Commission wherever they are in life and the world.

From May 9th until May 21st of 2024, Pittsburgh Presbytery anticipates hosting 20 visitors from Malawi and South Sudan. This visit is intentionally planned to coincide with Pentecost and Mother’s Day. Find out how your congregation can be involved and connected!

Celebration Corner: ‘Talk Pittsburgh’

Four members of our Presbytery joined a discussion on KDKA’s ‘Talk Pittsburgh’ to discuss a recent study of why people are leaving faith communities and what those communities might try to reverse the trend. Rev. Mike Holohan, Rev. Erin Angeli, Dr. Scott Hagley, and Dr. Brock Bahler joined Heather Abraham, the host of “Talk Pittsburgh.” The discussion can be viewed here.

The Pittsburgh Presbytery created the Repair and Reconciliation Alliance to thoroughly review the historical experiences of Black congregations and offer recommendations on actions of repair and reconciliation.
