THON, Asbury, and a Passionate Faith

One of the common elements of both the gatherings at Asbury and THON at Penn State was testimony. While the subject matter differed, the common element of passion shown through every speaker. Can testimonies be one way that, as Presbyterians, we can show a little passion in a way that still upholds our value of doing things decently and in order? ACT Intern Grants

The Administrative Commission for Transformation invites churches to apply for a Seminary Student Intern grant. This grant is designed to provide hands on ministry training for students, while providing additional resources for congregations, who demonstrate financial need. The application is available on the Presbytery website (towards the bottom of the page). The deadline is Friday, March 24.

Turkey-Syria Earthquake: Ways to Give, Act, and Pray

Amid news of a devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey, the Presbyterian Mission Agency has reached out to offer assistance to partners in the area, where thousands have died, and is asking Presbyterians to pray for those impacted by the quake and its aftershocks. Solidarity grants to meet immediate needs are being processed and ACT partner GOPA-DERD is distributing winterization items (blankets, mattresses), food items and medicines.
