Being united in Christ is utterly ordinary for people who follow Jesus. Division is not natural for us, even though it has always been our nemesis. Now is the church’s great public opportunity at this time of deep national divide – we can show that what unites us as God’s people is greater than everything that divides the world around us. But how do we do that? In this week’s meditation, Ordinary Christianity in Extraordinary Times, Rev. Dr. Sheldon W. Sorge discusses this question and more.

The next six units of Growing in God’s Love: A Story Bible Curriculum are now at the PCUSA Store! These essential units provide you with all the material you need to continue faith formation through the major seasons of the church year. They are each available as a print or a download.

Justice Corner is an opportunity for us to periodically share the latest activities and updates for the Justice Ministries of Pittsburgh Presbytery. For more information on those programs or how to get involved, please contact Elder Ralph Lowe, Director of Justice Ministries.

When the COVID Pandemic placed a halt to international travel, the International Partnership Ministry Team thought that they might lose ground in connecting with folks in Malawi and South Sudan. However, they had the chance to engage in a Zoom meetings featuring updates, shared prayer, and study from members scattered around the world. You can review the minutes from the latest meeting here. Let’s Get Connected! is a place on the Pittsburgh Presbytery website to connect congregations of Pittsburgh Presbytery when they are looking to share gifts or make requests for donation needs. The Presbyterian Church of Mt. Washington has numerous items they would like to gift to another member congregation. Check the page for the complete list!
This year’s annual enrollment is October 26 through November 13. During this time, employees may change benefits elections, or add or drop coverage, for 2021. After annual enrollment ends, you may elect coverage or make changes only if you have a qualifying life event, such as getting married or adopting a child, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
