Nevertheless

The word “nevertheless” is often a transitional word – in which challenging and difficult realities are named, identified, and followed by a statement of steadfast commitment. If we believe in God of Easter, we must acknowledge the reality of our world, and, nevertheless, faithfully respond to God’s call with passion and urgency. In this week’s letter, Nevertheless, Rev. Brian Wallace challenges us to seek to be faithful to who God is calling us to be, amidst a cynical world.

Church Safety Training: Register Now!

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance will be coming to Pittsburgh on October 28 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, to lead a free course on Church Safety and Security Training from 9:00am – 4:00pm. The course is designed for people who are on the front lines of greeting people and interacting with the public, including ushers, greeters, outreach workers, custodians, and pastors. Better Than Average Training

The Next Generation Ministry Team is excited to announce that Better Than Average Training is returning this fall! Better Than Average Training is designed for church staff and volunteers who work with the next generation, from preschoolers up through young adults, and features keynote sessions, workshops, and breakouts addressing various topics. This year’s training will be on November 2nd @ Beulah Presbyterian Church from 4-8:30 pm (with an pre-conference session starting at 2:30pm). More information can be found here.
