The Lazarus Fund equips congregations in Pittsburgh Presbytery to provide direct financial support to their neighbors to help them avoid the disruption of eviction. Distributing this direct aid can be a significant ministry for congregations who feel called to serve people who are poor, and especially those churches who are committed to the Matthew 25 Initiative principle of eradicating systemic poverty. The Lazarus Fund leadership team is hoping that new churches will join the program for the summer to address the coming eviction crisis.

The Crestfield Camp and Conference Center (Crestfield) Board of Directors is delighted to announce that Michael Little will become the new Executive Director of Crestfield effective September 1, 2021. Mike takes over as Executive Director as Crestfield is coming out of 18 difficult months of Pandemic. Crestfield is now fully open to host groups and is very much looking forward to leading a full Summer Camping Program in 2022.

It is time to prepare for the Annual Service of Remembrance that typically is held every year at the September meeting of the presbytery. The service of remembrance will be held at the presbytery meeting on September 16, 2021 and will cover a period of two years. If any ordained ruling elder has died since the last memorial service which was held on September 19, 2019, please advise us by filling out the online form. Names are due by September 2, 2021.
