How Do We Respond to Racism Amid a Pandemic?

There is a time to dance and there is a time to mourn. Today we mourn. In the fifth of the Church’s six “Great Ends,” Presbyterians affirm that one of the our core callings is “the promotion of social righteousness.” (Book of Order F-1.0304) Not just “proclamation,” but “promotion.” In this week’s meditation, A Time to Mourn, Rev. Dr. Sheldon W. Sorge discusses the movement from mourning to active promotion of social righteousness.


Will Hybrid Worship Be Our Future?

The Synod of the Trinity has been invited to join with the presbyteries of LackawannaLehighNorthumberland in hosting past GA Moderator Bruce Reyes-Chow on Tuesday, June 16, at 1:00 PM to discuss Ideas for a Hybridized Worship Experience Between People on Zoom and People in Person. All in the Synod are welcome for this important conversation and there are plenty of seats!


We Are Accountable

The Presbyterian Mission of the PC (USA) has released an article on their site about how we honor the lives of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd. In it, the Racial Equity Advocacy Committee and the Advocacy Committee for Women’s Concerns issue a call to immediate action, reminding the Presbyterian Church (USA) we are accountable to the commitments we have made.
