What We Do

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (USA) of more than 300,000 women. The programming and resource options for the organization offer a variety of ways for women to live out their faith in an inclusive, caring community that strengthens the PC(USA).

We commit to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, support the mission of the church worldwide, and to work for justice and peace.  Click here to learn more about Presbyterian Women on the national level, or here for the PW of the Synod of the Trinity.

Presbyterian Women in Pittsburgh Presbytery (PWPP) Mission Project

Knitted Knockers

Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast.

PWPP will be sending all knitted and crocheted knockers to Knitted Knockers who distribute them to over a 1,000 women every month.  The knockers do not need to be stuffed, as they have a team of women who stuff the ones sent to the organization, therefore keeping the cost of postage down.

For information, patterns, video tutorials, where to send finished knockers, and frequently asked questions, please visit the Knitted Knockers website.

If you would like to make a monetary donation to the mission, please send to:
