Pittsburgh Presbytery Welcomes Roy Burford, the New Business Administrator!
Roy has worked in church administration since 1993. He attended West Liberty State College in West Virginia and received his BS in Business Administration in December 1980. Roy is certified as a Church Administrator having completed certification studies through the National Association of Church Business Administration, NACBA. He received his training at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond Virginia in 1996 and 1997 and received his National Certification in Church Administration in 1997 as a Fellow in Church Business Administration. Roy was certified as a Fellow in Presbyterian Church Business Administration, FPCBA, in 2001. He has been on staff at Bethany since May 2003 and was re-certified by the NACBA in 2007.
Roy was instrumental in establishing a local chapter of the NACBA in 1998 and has served the local chapter as President and Secretary. He has also served as the Eastern Region 1 Director, Co-chair for the 2004 NACBA National Conference, served on the Board of Directors of the NACBA as the Eastern Area Vice President from 2004-2006, served on the Advisory Board to the Editor of Church Business Magazine and has written articles for that publication.
Roy and his wife Mary have been married for nearly 29 years and they have three Children, Christy, Patricia and Ashley. They are life-long residents of Bethel Park.
