Why Is “How” More Important Than “Where”?
Do we have to be in a church building to be truly worshiping? Capacity to worship God rightly is critical for the well-being of God’s people. How is this capacity affected in this challenging season of restriction to home worship? In this week’s meditation, Let My People Go that They May Worship Me!, the Rev. Dr. Sheldon W. Sorge discusses the third of the Great Ends of the Church, one that seems especially challenging when our sanctuaries are shuttered: Maintenance of Divine Worship.

How Are You Going to Order Your Planning Calendar This Year?
Pittsburgh Presbytery is not placing a bulk order for planning calendars this year. Because of the current COVID-19 conditions, we cannot have in-person pick-up at the presbytery office.
The calendar is scheduled to be shipped at the end of June. This 19‐month calendar contains many planning aids for pastors and other church leaders including lectionary for Sundays and special days, liturgical days and colors, resource information for PC(USA) programmatic emphases, updated synod, presbytery and Presbyterian Mission Agency staff directories, and color foldout synod/presbytery and world maps. We are encouraging those who want calendars to place their orders directly with the PC(USA) Store. They will be shipped directly to you, eliminating multiple touch points and the need to pick them up.
If you are not able to order online, you may call 800-533-4371.
