Presbytery Plans for Celebration of Jim Mead's Ministry
The time has come to say farewell to Jim Mead who has served as our pastor and leader for almost nine years. How can we tell Jim we love him? Let us count the ways!
- Plan to attend a wonderful evening of fellowship and worship, toasts and roasts, laughter, tears, and prayers at Bethany Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 23. A service of sending and communion will begin at 4:00 PM in the sanctuary followed by a buffet dinner at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. You may choose to attend the service, the dinner, or both, but reservations are required for the dinner. The cost of the dinner is $15.00 per person. Make your reservations by June 18, using the form below.
- Make a contribution toward a special gift for Jim. We will purchase a gift that is significant to his ministry among us and present it on June 23. The remaining money will be used to begin a fund for congregational transformation (a cause near and dear to Jim’s heart) to be administered by the Administrative Commission on Transformation (ACT). Again, use the form below, and send your gift to the presbytery office.
- Contribute to a memory book by sending a letter, note, email, or card to Jim. Send your contributions to Becky Little at Pittsburgh Presbytery, email@example.com. All contributions to the memory book must be received by Becky by June 14.
We know you will want to participate in the farewell festivities, sending Jim on his way with prayers and wonderful memories of good friends and good times in Pittsburgh Presbytery.
