Luncheon Scheduled with Visitors from the Middle East
The Great Commission Ministry Team together with the Iraq Partnership Network invites you to a special luncheon presentation on Tuesday, August 1, from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM at the offices of Pittsburgh Presbytery to meet and hear three visitors from the Middle East. The Rev. Elmarie Parker (Mission Co-worker and PCUSA Liaison to the Presbyterian Churches in Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria), her husband, the Rev. Scott Parker (Mission Co-worker and Staff at Middle East Council of Churches in Beirut), and the Rev. Farouk Hammo (Pastor of the Baghdad Presbyterian Church, Iraq) will present. Hear how Christians exist with hope and joy in war-torn Muslim countries. Learn how they support refugees displaced from their homes by ISIS. See how Christian outreach programs continue to expand and show the love of God throughout the Middle East.
This promises to be an exciting and very educational program with time for lots of questions and answers. Pastors, spouses, elders, deacons, and friends are all invited. Tell your congregations! To make your reservation, email Cindy Miller by Monday, July 24, with the following information:
first and last name
name of the congregation or organization with which you are affiliated
number of people attending
A free-will offering will be collected to help defray the cost of the meal.
