MISSION
North Hills Community
Outreach is an interfaith organization which addresses the spiritual, emotional,
physical, and material needs of local individuals and families in crisis, hardship, and poverty.
NHCO provides information and education, and facilitates access to resources
to bring immediate help in a manner that preserves dignity and to demonstrate the love of God.
CURRENT PROGRAMS
HISTORY
In 1986, when flood ravaged
portions of the North Hills, local leaders, organizations, and congregations
began working together to assist flood victims. This effort mobilized the
community to action, and matched the resources being offered by local groups,
businesses and individuals to meet the needs of affected families. As a
result, NHCO was incorporated in 1987 as an organization of "People
Helping People."
