SUMMER CAMP DIRECTORS
Beulah Presbyterian Church
Beulah Presbyterian Church is seeking to hire two directors for its summer day camp ministries.
- Our elementary Sonshine Camp, for those completing grades K–3, is in need of a Director to plan, administer and facilitate the daily activities of the 9 week Christian Summer day camp. The Sonshine Camp Director works in collaboration with the Director of Christian Discipleship, supervising summer camp counselors, planning Bible study, field trips, indoor and outdoor activities. The camp generally operates with about 30-35 children a week and runs from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM with extended care beginning at 7:30 AM and ending at 5:30 PM.
- Our Sonshine Camp program has grown and we are expanding into a new camp ministry for tweens and Junior Highs this summer. Beulah is seeking a Director for its new “Bridge Camp” for those entering 5th–8th grade. This ground breaking summer will involve coordinating Bible study, youth mission, fellowship times, leadership development and practice for the young people to develop skills for future endeavors and potential counselor positions in the future. There will be sharing of some activities with Sonshine Camp and with youth ministry. This program runs for the 9 week summer program time form June 11–August 10. We are looking for a Director who will be excited to begin this program from the ground up.
Director applicants should have experience working with children/youth, some camp experience is helpful, a desire to work in education or ministry, good organizational skills and college degree or experience toward a degree in education/ministry is a plus. Directors will work some planning hours in the months leading up to camp. All PA background clearances, FBI fingerprinting, and mandatory reporting training is required and will be conducted upon position offer. SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS
Beulah Presbyterian Church
Beulah is seeking to hire Summer Camp Counselors to work two Summer Camp programs: one for young elementary and one for tween and middle schoolers. Counselors should be senior high schoolers/young adults/adults willing to work for the 9 weeks of summer programs June 11–August 10. They are especially in need of male counselors. Counselors will implement the daily plan of activities for all campers under the supervision of the camp directors and the Director of Christian Discipleship. The elementary camp generally operates with 30-35 children a week and runs from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM with extended care beginning at 7:30 AM and ending at 5:30 PM. The Bridge Camp for 5th–8th graders is a new endeavor and will be working on the inaugural camp season this year. Those applying should have experience working with children/youth and a desire to disciple young people in the day-to-day camp setting. Counselors should be willing to supervise early morning care and after camp care on a rotating basis with staggered start times. All PA background clearances, FBI fingerprinting and mandatory reporting training is required and will be conducted upon position offer.
